Great Storyteller - Review

Once I picked this book up, I read it cover to cover. This is a fun and inspiring collection of stories that ooze passion - passion for adventure, people, hard work, love, and fun. The book centers around a thoughtful philosophy student looking for a place to fit in. He finds it in a rather unusual place, the moving industry. It is interesting to see the underbelly of the profession, akin to Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential. Much like that book, you get to see the wonderful yet flawed individuals behind the curtain that the author obviously grows to love and respect. The stories are carefully woven together to entertain, while highlighting moments that shaped his progression as a trucker, businessman, and human being. I highly recommend this nostalgic look through the eyes of a man traversing the U.S. in his beloved truck, Snowbird.
